Wayne Fred Rice

     Wayne Fred Rice, of Wendell, Idaho, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, in Hagerman, at the age of 86.

     Wayne was born on September 21, 1938, in Wendell, Idaho, to Chester and Dorothy (Beem) Rice.

     He spent most of his life on the family farm in Wendell, where he developed a strong work ethic.  He played a significant role in maintaining the farm, working -hard alongside his father and brother Bob. In his later years, Wayne helped family members with lawn care. He was always willing to lend a hand wherever it was needed.

     Wayne was famous for making his Friday night burgers and milkshakes, a tradition that brought joy to his family. He was well known throughout Wendell for driving around town on his golf cart.

     Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Chet Rice; his mother, Dorothy Rice; and his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Betty Rice. 

     He leaves behind a loving family, including his two nephews, Bill and Jerry, several great nieces and nephews, his uncle Ken Beem, and other members of his beloved Beem family.

     The family would like to thank Stonebridge Assisted Living in Hagerman for the incredible care they provided for Wayne over the past several years.

     Wayne’s legacy is one of kindness, hard work, and the simple joys of life. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.

     The family invites you to a graveside service to be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Wendell Cemetery.

     Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Wendell Chapel.
