William “Bill” D. Parish, 72, a resident of Wendell, passed away at his home in Wendell on September 18, 2024.
He was born on December 31, 1951 in Gooding, the son of Erma and Lewis Parish. He was raised and educated in Gooding.
Bill was a veteran and served our country during the Vietnam War. He was in the Air Force and was a firefighter during his time in the service.
Bill was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother and friend.
He loved his family; he loved being in the mountains where he was most at home. He loved the fact that his great grandchildren called him “GPa”.
All who knew him will tell you he was grumpy, but kind. He will be missed dearly, but will always be with us in our memories.
Bill is survived by: his children ~ daughter – Anna Parish of Jerome; son – William “Will” D. Parish, Jr. of Wendell; daughter – Rachel Horrocks of Roosevelt, Utah; grandchildren – Amanda and Chris Slater of Jerome, Kayla Trigloff of Jerome, Cliff Baxter of Jerome, Migueal of Buhl and Emerald D. Horrocks of Roosevelt, Utah; great grandchildren – Samantha Slater, Ruger Slater, Kinsley Slater and Caiden Mason – all of Jerome; her sisters – Alena Haycock of Salem, Oregon and Beth of Wilder; several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his wife – Cheryl Royce who he was married to for 14 years before being divorced in 1985; his parents – Erma and Lewis Parish; two brothers – Lewis Parish, Jr. and Harvey Parish; sister-in-law – Georgia Parish; and his beloved dog – Pepper.
Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Wendell Chapel.
